VENUE: Fleckney Village Hall, School Street, Fleckney, LE8 8AS
In Japanese, Nami literally means wave. This piece explores the impression of a quiet beach with waves lapping gently at the shore before a crescendo as the waves start to pound the cliffs. The complexity of this piece comes from using multiple lines all playing at the same time to create something much greater than the sum of its parts.
Nami is played mostly in our usual upright style, but it also uses odaiko (big drum) and uchiwa (fan drum).
There is a car park next to the village hall. If this happens to be full there is street parking nearby but please make sure to park considerately of our neighbours.
Adults Only
