This course is aimed at those of you with slightly more experience who are interested in learning more complex pieces over a longer period. Alongside the usual drills and activities we will spend four sessions learning a full piece and developing a greater understanding of the nuances involved.
Euphoria: 4th October - 3rd January
Written by James Barrow, Euphoria is an energetic and vibrant kumi-daiko style piece. James studied taiko in Hiroshima for several years before returning to the UK and is one of the originators of the UK taiko scene. His compositional style explores commonalities between taiko and rock music, which can be heard in this piece.
